About Me - Part 3 {W}holistic Living
After the birth of our son, I really stepped up our game on eating healthy foods. I used to never read labels and truthfully had my head in the sand on so much of the products we consume. I am NOT perfect and we still consume items we probably shouldn't. BUT I do try and I've learned so much over the years. Gardening is a big part of our lives and is only growing as we moved into our current home. My garden has been in a separate location from our home for years and last year we were able to start a raised garden on our own property. This year, we are expanding that garden and starting a small orchard. I would love to grow/raise 90% of our food in the next 3 years.
I started making handmade soap and skin care products a few years ago. It was a natural progression in the rabbit hole I had fallen down when it comes to the products we consume. I used to suffer from eczema and psoriasis and have not had a flare up since I started using my own products. My skin has never looked better!
This blog, The Journal will be the space where I share these DIY posts with you in addition to other wholistic living posts. So if you have a topic you’d like for me to talk about, feel free to let me know! My goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years with you so you may feel a little more empowered to start your own journey down a similar path if it feels right to you.
